Europe 1560 rated  Superb
This is a great large player, snatch and grab continents type map. A map doesn't have to be all over the place and complicated to be enjoyable IMO. Things that make this map superb: addition of cities, great card scale, graphics are nice.

Pretty cool map, not up my alley though. Trying to look past my bias I give it a 7 out of 10.

One of the best maps on the site. The different versions offer great variations of play.

I like the map layout and mechanics for sure, but the card scale escalates way too fast for me. With the addition of the +10 elimination bonus and its like playing the antithesis of hot potato. The game hits a point where the first person to have the cards line up right is sweeping the map.

I know this is a goofy, simple board but I enjoy it.

Unique, fun map. Can definitely lead to stalemates, UNLESS YOU PLAY WITH FOG. I seriously don't know why people keep creating no fog games on this. The default should be switched to heavy.

Eden rated  Perfect
I prefer to go to war Eden style! The defensive dice, fog, capitals and territory layout make this a defensive masterpiece!

Sadly this board has phased out, but I hope to revive it! I wish I was in the days when beastlymaster, Attila and Blackdog would exchange in epic battles on this map.

King of the Mountains rated  Great
This is a really fun board and I will definitely make my rounds back to this board semi frequently. I think this map is best with medium or heavy fog, although total fog would be a cool twist.
I don't know if I can make the statement, "the board is imbalaced," but the center mountain is LOADED with bonuses. More than one would think. Let's say you had only the right portion of the center mountain, level 2 and up.This would include "Center level 2-4" --> "2-11" and the level 3 and 4 peaks that are adjacent to those. This is less than half the central mountain, territory wise, but you would have more bonuses then someone in control of the entire NE and NNE mountains. That being said your strategy should include either gunning for the center mountain or keeping in check the player who has, especially on games with 6 or less.

Ancient Isles of Kjeldor rated  Perfect
My favorite board here by far! Has just the right level of complexities while still retaining that original risk feel. A lot of boards lose my interest if they go way over the top with crazy s*** to where it's not like your even playing risk anymore. I love the territory selection so its you who decides your fate (to some degree).

Kjeld, please make other maps just like this one. What about The Perilous Swamp of Kjeldor or The Fortified Mountains of Kjeldor. If you made these 3 maps with the same game mechanics as Isles I would mostly just play these 3 maps because that's how much I esteem this map. This is my feedback to you as a board designer. If it ain't broke don't fix it. There's never too much of a good thing.
